TRAVEL

I think this is cool. I have always wanted to travel. Having something be free is eveven better. I either might do a gap-year, or maybe just in college do some sort of travel exchange student. I would either go to Greece of France or Paris. This would be one of my dreams. Maybe I could go to France or Italy to go to culinary school! It would be so enriching and beneficial to travel! I would combine the two choices and study abroad.

Blogging

This article suprised me. I did not know that the world of blogging was so huge. Wow maybe I should go into this profession. Just Kidding. I want to be a pastry chef. (:

Hearing

We learned a little about this last year in science. If you can't hear the person next you because your ipod is too loud, then you will be more likely to lose your hearing. I like to listen to loud music when i have too much on my mind and i just need to "excape". (: Or sometimes i listen to loud music to get pumped up for a game.

taxes

I think that we should not have this happen because we still need to be able to afford colleges. I think that we should be able to choose what we want to do. Illegal Immagrants should not be able to not pay taxes. They should have to pay taxes just like the rest of us. (:

Teen Drinking

I think that everyone should have their own choices. This may be true but still everyone can make their own choice. It does worry me that a teen dies every 5 hours because of this issue. I am very supprised that many teens die because of this preventable cause. I believe that a little drinking is ok but not to the point of dying. This should really wake some people up about overdosing and that it's such a huge problem right now.

Censorship

This kid had a shirt that says "God is dead". He wore it to a yearbook picture. The teacher thought that the shirt was innapropriate, so she told him to take it off. The kid said he wore it to provoke debate. I think that this is good. He shouldn't be able to wear this for a yearbook picture.

Webcams

This school in a Philly suburb put hidden cameras in these lab tops that they gave to kids. The issue was discovered when the principal disciplined the kid at school for having "inappropriate behavior" at home. They found out because he took a picture and used it as evidence. This is a huge case because it could have even been called child pornography. This is also telling kids that their privacy is worthless and shouldn't be protected. These pictures will also follow them throughout their lives and even to job interviews. This is not good.

Government

I dont like the government. They are not doing that great of a job because we are in such a big recession. I also wish that we would have a republican president. I think that this would help alot. I dont think that the stimulus package was such a great idea either. It may have helped some people not lose jobs, but it also just got us in more debt than we already were in. I dont know how we are going to get out of this recession, but i hope the government can figure something quick.

This summer

This summer im going to go to Vermont. I have been there every summer but last summer. We didn't go last summer. It is going to be fun because I have a ton of cousins and aunts and uncles. Also my grandparents will be having their 55 wedding anniversary. When I get back I will just hang out with my friends most of the summer too. :)

New energy source

A scientist may have just found a new energy source. They fired an array of 192 laser beams at a helium filled target no larger than a bb shot that heated to 6 million degrees. Imagine how much of the Earth this one little target could fill the Earth with energy. This could be really good because then we wouldn't be totally stranded without the sun if it ever burned out or something went wrong.

my favorite sports

I have 3 favorite sports. My first one is basketball. This is my all time favorite sport because I love the intensity and just the actual game itself. I am a post which means you rebound a lot and put up shots in the paint. My second favorite sport is volleyball. This is a good sport because you can improve a lot and just every play you can get better. Riding horses is my other favorite sport. This is just a fun and relaxing sport that i love. We own horses and we keep them at Medora Fralick's house which is just outside of Hayden. Finally my three best friends are Austin Kayla and Victoria. :)

Aliens

Hubble just discovered a x shaped object flying through the air at 11,000 miles per hour. The weird thing is that there is a 460 foot wide nucleus which is not even apart of the tail, which is pretty weird. They have never see this happen in a comet before. This is definitely being discovered more every day. They took a picture and they think that it is a collision of two asteroids, but they are not exactly sure.

Games

I have never really considered a career in the gaming industry. The numbers did suprise me. I never would have thought that the global value of the industry would go up to 70 billion by 2012. I do think it is kind of weird how it is going up so much when were in a recession. There are so many aspects of the gaming industry. There are wiis, xbox 360, playstation 1 2 and 3, and I'm sure that there are more being made every day. I think that this would be an interesting job to have, it would never get boring and you would always have something to do. I think this would be a fun job to do. :)

Cyber Bullying

I just read a story on cyberbullying. This innocent new girl, that was new to the school, got harassed and bullied by mean girls at her school from txt messages and facebook. They thought that she should feel that she doesn't belong. She felt so badly about herself that she hung herself last night. I feel so bad for the girl, her family, and boyfriend. The girls that did it should be charged. And the school should defnietly do something about the girls that did it. If they don't, then the girls would just keep doing it. I don't have any personal experience with it, but I believe strongly that it is not ok and should be stopped if it is happening, especially in a school.
